Hello!

I am an award-winning writer and editor. My byline has appeared in National Geographic, Real Simple, Bon Appetit, 64 Parishes and other publications; I was an editor at a few of those magazines, too. For many years, I surveyed the world, both while on assignment and from my desk, as travel editor at the Star Tribune.

​Today, I focus on telling stories that matter for print and digital publications as well as mission-driven organizations. I also offer expert editing, from concept to final copy. I’m fluent in both AP and Chicago style.​

I now live in New Orleans, my husband’s hometown, after residing in Minneapolis (my own hometown), Los Angeles, Birmingham, Washington, D.C. and Bologna, Italy.
